Magna Carta in British History: Memory, Inventions and Forgetting

Part of a series of lectures run by Royal Holloway, University of London, in association with the Magna Carta Trust in the build up to the 800th anniversary in 2015.  Professor Linda Colley CBE will deliver a lecture at the Windsor Building Auditorium about how this iconic text has been understood, user and commemorated through the centuries. This examines the changing perspectives of the Magna Carta, not just in England, but throughout the British Isles and in the one-time British Empire.
